At the park

Last weekend the weather was beautiful! We took the girls to the park! Here a few pics from that.

Cute little video

I know it has been a little while for an update. That's what happens when you have 2 kids (one busily involved in soccer). Well, things have been exciting here in Avon, IN. Malaina is in second grade this year and seems to be doing pretty good.

Maili will be 18 months this week and is full of energy and always demanding attention. Basically my life has been going like this... 1. work 2. home to work on homework 3. make dinner 4. get kids bathed and ready for bed 5. work on college class work.

I'm looking forward to winter break. I know it is a little bit of time away, but one can be hopefull.
The girls and I were hanging out in our PJs today and thought you would enjoy watching Maili dancing! I thought it was cute.

Easter

HAPPY EASTER! Our weekend started Thursday night, when Grandma and Grandpa arrived. Malaina was awarded April writer of the month for her class on Friday at the First of the month Convocation. Malaina was super excited to have Grandma, Grandpa, and Daddy to be there to celebrate! Friday after school we got busy dying easter eggs. With in no time Malaina's fingers turned blue!

The weekend continued with Nana and Papa arriving late that night. Sat. morning Malaina had her first spring soccer game! She had both sets of her Grandparents cheering her on, even though it was very chilly out! Sat. afternoon we all headed to Greenwood for a service to celebrate Carrie's succesful pregnancy with Baby Ella and to make sure she knows that she once had such a beautiful big brother Chase. Balloon's were released for Chase and Carson Morton and Ella was showered with rose petals. We ended up heading to Easter service on Sat. night. On our way home we realized we were going to have a few more guests then I realized and we ended up having 14 people stay at our house. We ran out of rooms so Malaina and Chloe slept in the tent in the upstairs hallway. They were both SUPER excited!
Easter morning was exciting. The girls woke up and checked out their Easter baskets! We then headed outside for a chilly Easter Egg hunt. Maili even found and egg!

Malaina and Chloe with their baskets!

Befo
r
e Malaina headed to bed, we were talking about why we celebrated Easter! It was really refreshing to here her tell what she knew about Jesus (instead of saying the Easter bunny.) She said that today was the best day and she had a lot of fun. We had a great time with our families and I was def. sad when everyone left. I couldn't imagine a more perfect Easter weekend! Happy Easter Everyone!

The End of the Break!

Well, we had an eventful last few days of spring break. On Thursday morning Ben had to go to a doctors appointment so the girls and I were alone. When Malaina woke up she asked for me to make Mickey Mouse pancakes (because Maddy said her mom was going to make them.) So... instead of mickey mouse pancakes, I made caterpillar pancakes. Check out the photo below!

After Ben got home from his appointment we decided to drive to Louisville to possibly purchase him a new car. That afternoon we drove two cars home, my jetta and Ben's new BMW 530i. I would of uploaded a photo, but it was raining, so we couldn't get it out of the garage to take a picture.

Saturday night was a lot of fun. We had a going away party for my sister and her husband at our house. After all her friends left we hung out with my niece Ella. The pictures below are Ella trying out the Bounce-a-roo. Maili didn't understand why Ella was in her Bounce-a-roo. She was checking her out.

On our last day of our Spring Break, Malaina wanted to make a tent in the living room and hang out. Here she is hanging out in her tent. Maili enjoyed hanging out in the tent too. The bottom picture is the tent from the outside. Notice the entrance and exit is through the tunnel.

The next little video clip is Maili and Malaina playing with a ball. If you watch, notice the Maili is actually trying to roll the ball to Malaina. For most of you this is not a big deal, but for me.. this is really exciting! It really is the small things in life!

Spring Break!

Today we headed to Plainfield to their indoor swimming pool! Malaina, of course, had a great time! The real treat was watching Maili! She loved the water, even after her lips and feet turned blue. I even dunked her in the water a couple of times. She just batted her eyes and was fine. She really loved watching the big kids play and floating around the lazy river. Of course I took a lot of pics and a couple of videos.

She was really tired after a long day at the pool!

Say Cheese!

Sorry that the next couple of videos are sideways. I forgot on my camera you have to keep it horizontal. So just turn your head side ways to watch the next few videos. And yes Grandma, she is crawling around on the floor. Just close your eyes if it bothers you too much!

Malaina's Sleepover!

Malaina's spring break continues. I feel so bad that we are not going any where exciting so we decided to invite a friend over to spend the night. Malaina wanted to invite Maddy, a friend from school and on her soccer team, over. The girls had a great time last night eating home made pizza, watching Beverly Hills Chihuaha, eating ice cream, and doing their nails. Today I came downstairs to find the partners in crime using their creativity to make art work. Luckily the mess wasn't too bad to clean up.
Later they decided to make music videos. I couldn't pick just one video to show. They were all so funny. In some of the videos the girls decided to pretend reading a book.. If you look closely you'll notice that the book they are actually looking at is Malaina's bible. They were totally cracking me up. I hope you enjoy the videos as much as I enjoyed them!

After we finished making videos, we decided to go to McDonald's for lunch. This is a big deal for Malaina, because she only gets McDonalds on special occasions and with her grandparents. They got to eat their yummy chicken nuggets, apples slices and chocolate milk before we headed to the movies to see Race to Witch Mountain. I thought it was a pretty good movie, but Malaina was a little scared. Since I decided not to spend the $$$ on popcorn and candy at the movies, we then headed to Dairy Queen to get a yummy treat. I'm pretty sure the girls had a pretty good time, except for some minor 6 year old girl drama. Before Malaina went to bed tonight she said, "this was the best day ever."

Spring Break!

Well, the Aronsons are staying in Avon for Spring Break this year. Malaina's spring break started a day earlier then mine. So last night Malaina had our neighbor over to spend the night. I got home from a soccer meeting and the girls were upstairs under a "tent," they made themselves, reading a book. Today, while I was at work, the girls got to hang out with Ben.
When I got home Maili was playing on the stairs with Ben. She just recently learned to go down the stairs. Check out the video of her coming to see me, down the stairs, as I got home.

The next video is of Malaina. She decided to make a music video to Mylie Cyrus. She ended up making like 5 videos. You can tell that she has been taking dance lessons since August, ha. I wish the video was better, but I took it on my cell, because I have yet to figure out how to upload small clips from my video camera. Someday I will figure it out, but until then, you will get to see the blurry videos. (P.S. if anyone knows how to edit small clips, I take free advice.)

This is just the beginning of an exciting spring break in Avon, IN.

Long needed update

Maili playing at home!

I thought it was finally time for an update. Things are going pretty good in good ol' Avon, IN. Maili has had a few viruses and even a hospital stay, but she seems to be back to her happy self these days. She just began standing all by herself for a few seconds, which means walking is next to come. I took a couple of videos of her playing around the house. She also has 2 teeth now
!

Malaina and her principal at their school carnival, changing a tire.
Maili took a little nap.

Malaina is growing up so fast. While Maili was getting teeth, Malaina decided to take some more out. She also got her ears pierced for doing well in school. I added an updated video of her at dance class. If you can't tell, she is the one in the blue outfit. They have 3 months to perfect this dance for the recital. Hope you all enjoy the videos!

This is Malaina's Dance costume.

The 2 Newest Babies!!

Most of you may know that
I enjoy taking my
own photos of my kiddos.
Maili got a cute new winter hat,
so I decided to take a

few snapshots of her.
Is
n't she the most beautiful baby?
I know I am partial to
my own kiddos, oh well.

I also decided to snap a
few pics of my
beautiful niece, Ella.
Thanks to Josh's
sister, Raegan,
I discovered a website
called picnik.com
and I was able to try

some fun new editing techniques to add
to her pictures.
Isn't she adorable?

Christmas 08!!!

We had a great Christmas! First we visited South Bend with Ben's family. There we spent time with Ben's parents, aunts and uncles, and cousins.

Malaina had an extra special Christmas because she got a Wii!! Maili had a lot of fun cruising around her Grandparent's house, and getting new bumps. Opening presents was fun for Maili. She did help rip some paper, but then she wanted to eat the paper. She loves her new stuffed bunny and light up rubber ducky!
Here are some pictures from our South Bend Christm
as.

Next we headed to Evansville for New Years and to celebrate Christmas with the Roedel Family. There we had a great time hanging out with our family and hanging out with the newest addition to the family, Baby Ella Morton! Maili didn't think much of her yet, she just wanted to grab at her. The girls had a great Christmas there where they both got lots of new toys to play with. In Evansville the family had a great time playing the Wii. Ben got a new Tiger Woods game and challenged Curt and Josh to a game. Sadly enough for Ben and Josh, Curt beat them.
