Easter

HAPPY EASTER! Our weekend started Thursday night, when Grandma and Grandpa arrived. Malaina was awarded April writer of the month for her class on Friday at the First of the month Convocation. Malaina was super excited to have Grandma, Grandpa, and Daddy to be there to celebrate! Friday after school we got busy dying easter eggs. With in no time Malaina's fingers turned blue!

The weekend continued with Nana and Papa arriving late that night. Sat. morning Malaina had her first spring soccer game! She had both sets of her Grandparents cheering her on, even though it was very chilly out! Sat. afternoon we all headed to Greenwood for a service to celebrate Carrie's succesful pregnancy with Baby Ella and to make sure she knows that she once had such a beautiful big brother Chase. Balloon's were released for Chase and Carson Morton and Ella was showered with rose petals. We ended up heading to Easter service on Sat. night. On our way home we realized we were going to have a few more guests then I realized and we ended up having 14 people stay at our house. We ran out of rooms so Malaina and Chloe slept in the tent in the upstairs hallway. They were both SUPER excited!
Easter morning was exciting. The girls woke up and checked out their Easter baskets! We then headed outside for a chilly Easter Egg hunt. Maili even found and egg!

e Malaina headed to bed, we were talking about why we celebrated Easter! It was really refreshing to here her tell what she knew about Jesus (instead of saying the Easter bunny.) She said that today was the best day and she had a lot of fun. We had a great time with our families and I was def. sad when everyone left. I couldn't imagine a more perfect Easter weekend! Happy Easter Everyone!

The End of the Break!

Well, we had an eventful last few days of spring break. On Thursday morning Ben had to go to a doctors appointment so the girls and I were alone. When Malaina woke up she asked for me to make Mickey Mouse pancakes (because Maddy said her mom was going to make them.) So... instead of mickey mouse pancakes, I made caterpillar pancakes. Check out the photo below!

After Ben got home from his appointment we decided to drive to Louisville to possibly purchase him a new car. That afternoon we drove two cars home, my jetta and Ben's new BMW 530i. I would of uploaded a photo, but it was raining, so we couldn't get it out of the garage to take a picture.

Saturday night was a lot of fun. We had a going away party for my sister and her husband at our house. After all her friends left we hung out with my niece Ella. The pictures below are Ella trying out the Bounce-a-roo. Maili didn't understand why Ella was in her Bounce-a-roo. She was checking her out.

On our last day of our Spring Break, Malaina wanted to make a tent in the living room and hang out. Here she is hanging out in her tent. Maili enjoyed hanging out in the tent too. The bottom picture is the tent from the outside. Notice the entrance and exit is through the tunnel.

The next little video clip is Maili and Malaina playing with a ball. If you watch, notice the Maili is actually trying to roll the ball to Malaina. For most of you this is not a big deal, but for me.. this is really exciting! It really is the small things in life!

Spring Break!

Today we headed to Plainfield to their indoor swimming pool! Malaina, of course, had a great time! The real treat was watching Maili! She loved the water, even after her lips and feet turned blue. I even dunked her in the water a couple of times. She just batted her eyes and was fine. She really loved watching the big kids play and floating around the lazy river. Of course I took a lot of pics and a couple of videos.

She was really tired after a long day at the pool!

Say Cheese!

Sorry that the next couple of videos are sideways. I forgot on my camera you have to keep it horizontal. So just turn your head side ways to watch the next few videos. And yes Grandma, she is crawling around on the floor. Just close your eyes if it bothers you too much!
